Teens banned at Starmont
Starmont school property is officially off-limits to six Arlington and Strawberry Point teenagers who were former students there.
The school district's board of education approved a three-year ban at its July 12 meeting. The ban went into effect as soon as it was passed.
Tony J. Berry, Dustin J. Boardman, Jacob J. Fedeler, all of Arlington, and Mary E. Pickart, Duncan D. Coleman and Clint M. Keppler, all of Strawberry Point, were charged on separate counts of fourth-degree mischief in connection with a May 24 incident in which animal feces and empty alcohol containers were spread throughout the hallways and some offices in Starmont High School. (Keppler was charged in juvenile court.)
The six mischief-doers were sent a letter which informed them that they will not be allowed on schools grounds or to attend any school activities until the ban expires in July 12, 2013. If any of them attempts to enter school grounds or attend a student activity during that time, he or she will be asked to leave. If one of the banned teens doesn't comply with the request to leave, a law-enforcement agency will be contacted.
