Adient, a global leader in automotive seating, has announced the appointment of Jodi Eddy to its Board of Directors, effective September 19, 2023. Eddy will serve as a member of the Audit Committee and Corporate Governance Committee of the Board. With Eddy’s appointment, the Board will now consist of nine directors, eight of whom are independent.
Jodi Eddy currently serves as the senior vice president and chief information and digital officer (CIDO) at Boston Scientific Corporation. Boston Scientific is a global medical technology leader, offering a wide range of high-performance solutions that address patient needs and reduce healthcare costs.
Eddy joined Boston Scientific in 2013 and has held the role of chief information officer since 2015. In 2020, she took on the additional responsibility of Chief Digital Officer, overseeing the company’s digital health, data analytics, and cyber security capabilities. In her current position, Eddy leads the company’s information technology organization and expanded digital team worldwide.
Prior to joining Boston Scientific, Eddy had an 18-year tenure at General Electric, where she held various leadership roles in information systems. She served as the commercial chief information officer for the Oil and Gas business.
Jodi Eddy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Southern Connecticut State University. She has also received an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Science from her alma mater in recognition of her lifetime achievements and contributions to the computer science field.
Adient President and CEO, Doug Del Grosso, expressed his pleasure in having Jodi Eddy join the company’s Board of Directors, stating that her experience as a successful Chief Information and Digital Officer will be a valuable asset to the Board.
