Jeep India, the renowned car manufacturer, has unveiled three new models – the Compass SUV, the Compass Facelift, and the New Compass. The Compass SUV is available in the 4×2 variant with the Black Shark Edition and an automatic transmission option. The starting price for the New Compass is Rs. 20.49 lakhs (ex-showroom), while the top-end model with an automatic transmission variant is priced at Rs. 23.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The New Compass 2WD Red Black Edition comes with a 2.0-liter diesel engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission option. This engine delivers an impressive 168 bhp power and 350 Nm torque. It provides a mileage of 16.2 kmpl on diesel fuel and can reach a speed of 0-100 kmph in 9.8 seconds.
The lower versions of the Compass SUV now also include an automatic transmission variant, which is available at a lower price of 20%. The entry-level variant of the car is priced at Rs. 6 lakhs, making it more affordable for the Indian market. However, the entry-level SUV variant of the Compass does not offer any special offers currently.
Jeep has also introduced the New Overland Edition of the Compass SUV, which comes in three different variants – the Meridian Up Land, the Meridian X, and the Meridian Overland. The Meridian Overland gets cosmetic updates such as a new grille with chrome surrounds, redesigned alloy wheels, and other additional features for a premium look.
