New Nando’s Restaurant to Create Over 40 Jobs in Limerick

Nando’s, the international chicken restaurant known for its Portuguese flame-grilled peri-peri style chicken, is set to open its first store in Limerick, Ireland. The restaurant will be located in the Crescent Shopping Centre in Dooradoyle and will open its doors on Wednesday at 11:30 am. This new establishment will create over 40 job opportunities in the area.

The new Nando’s restaurant will have a seating capacity of 137 people and will be situated near other popular food establishments such as Kentucky Fried Chicken and Shake Dog. Kiara Appenah, the general manager of the Limerick restaurant, expressed excitement about the opening, stating that the location within Limerick’s vibrant retail and leisure hub makes it a truly exceptional space. She also extended a warm welcome to potential new customers.

Nando’s first entered the Irish market in 2008 and has since expanded to have 21 outlets across the island. Currently, the only branch outside of Dublin and Cork is located in Newbridge, Co Kildare. The company has a global presence on five continents.

The opening of the Nando’s restaurant in Limerick comes as part of the Crescent Shopping Centre’s continued expansion. In addition to Nando’s, Krispy Kreme donuts also announced plans to open a new outlet in the shopping center by the end of the year.
